Veterinarian
Dr. Michael Weiss founded All Creatures in 1997 and was one of the first hospitals in South Jersey that would see exotics. Dr. Weiss is a 1988 graduate of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University and studied Animal Nutrition at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Weiss has extensive experience in emergency medicine & surgery, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy. His experience extends beyond dogs and cats to all exotic pets.
Dr. Weiss has over 30 years experience in the area of exotic pet medicine and surgery. He has been an exotic pet medicine & surgery guest lecturer at several major veterinary continuing education conferences both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Weiss has been featured in People Magazine and Woman’s Day and was selected as one of the Delaware Valley’s “23 Great Vets” by Philadelphia Magazine. He has also been featured on Animal Planet, Extra and American Journal TV shows, as well as Good Day Philadelphia. Dr. Weiss is also the veterinarian that treated Rupert in the book “Rupert Saves the Day”!
His memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians and Association of Reptilian & Amphibian Veterinarians.
Dr. Weiss is currently a resident of Mullica Hill, NJ and has two daughters, both at which currently work at All Creatures! Dr. Lauren Scavola and Morgan!
Dr. Weiss’ interests include triathlon training and racing, vegan lifestyle, boating, open water scuba diving, and travel.
