Veterinarian
Dr. Lauren Scavola attended undergraduate school at Delaware Valley University and received a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2014. She spent her vet-school years in the Caribbean at Ross University, and her clinical year at Mizzou. She graduated and started to practice vet med in October of 2018. Within the upcoming year Dr. Scavola will be taking over All Creatures with the plan to build a new hospital to increase the amount of patients we are able to treat. This office will be right behind the current one, so we aren’t moving far!
Dr. Scavola is married to her husband Anthony Scavola, and they have a happy 2.5-year-old named Veda Kay with another little girl on the way. They reside in Upper Pittsgrove Twp where they love being surrounded by farmland. At home she has lots of animals- the reptiles include a yellow-belly pied ball python, a sunglow boa constrictor, and a bearded dragon. She has a long-haired cat named George, a calico Sphynx cat named Xena, and the newest addition is a black kitten named Kevin. Her dogs include Smoky the Great Dane, Kay the Coconut Retriever from St Kitts, and Luna the Rottweiler. And of course we can't forget about her 9 chickens!
Dr. Scavola’s work passions are surgery, exotics, and preventative care. Her favorite animals are snakes and birds, the bigger the better! She also loves rabbits, and good thing because she sees lots of them! Dr. Scavola loves to travel and can’t wait to travel both in and out of the country with her family. She is excited to see all of the amazing animals that are native to different parts of the world and to experience different cultures.
Dr. Scavola is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and Association of Reptilian & Amphibian Veterinarians. She makes sure she is always up to date with the most current information available in veterinary medicine.
